28th August. When I forgot My Sandwiches.

I was so hungry on the way back today I had to stop at The Horn Milk Bar. As any student of post war British history will be aware, milk bars had to originate in a period prior to Anthony Burgess's A Clockwork Orange. Otherwise we couldn't have had the sinister context of the Korova Milk Bar where the delinquent Alex and his mates gathered to consume milk laced with narcotics.

Its interesting to note that when they drew up the plans for the Horn Milk Bar, the future of interior decor that lay in store for us was pretty much wall to wall melamine, with a lot of vinyl. Step into The Horn and the detail has been preserved to such a fine degree that its surprising to find that the prices aren't still pre-decimal.

This sounds like a great place.
I wonder how long it will survive before it becomes a 'Starbucks' like everything else.

I usually use what used to be JG's diner further up at Inchture, don't know what it is called now. Same dump as previously but the fry-ups are fresh and delightfully unhealthy, not too dear and reasonable portions. - Pity the service is a tad slow, but if you want freshly cooked you can't have everything!

Make a point of not using the Horn because of dubious questions over the planning scenario that got them "Sole services" rights or whatever and the fact I hate caravans/caravanners!!

i used to work in the horn and if you ask me the price for a bacon roll is a tad expensive but not really if you thnk how much bacon ur recieving! and the caravan park also has nothing to do with the horn!!!

i also used to work there. the prices are far to high. we got complaints all the time so i used to give out free bacon rolls to a lot of people lol a bacon roll now is about £3.30
and as for KAZ's comment, she may be right because the horn has been shut since christmas and hasnt re-opened because the boss cant afford to pay everyones wages, which i find hard to believe
