Last week, taking the lift up to Isabelle's dad's flat on the 16th floor, each number on the display lights up; 11,12,14,15,16? Do residents with an address on the "14th" floor really believe they are safer because of this numerical sleight of hand? I had a premonition that something untoward might happen today involving ladders, so, stayed in bed all day; no, no, that's a lie. An excellent day for falling asleep though, primarily at the wheel, given the current physiological condition, a consequence of transmeridian travel.
