"So, given free reign, what would your idea of a perfect man be?" I said looking down from the step ladder up against the partially built 'storage solution' shed.
"A hard man, but who only shows his soft side to me."
"The fact that, as a jealous husband I'd be willing to bludgeon another man to death, doesn't that make me more attractive then?"
"No! I wouldn't want a murderer!"
"What's your ideal woman?"
"I find it hard to imagine any composite female, although I can see the attraction in some kind of Fembot that offered infinite variability."

Who's knickers?
You see, this is the whole point. The perfect man or woman simply does not exist.
It's like trying to find your own personal God. Some people find someone/thing to idolise and they are happy.
Not finding God does not mean you are unhappy, though.
Yes but you could maybe find some imperfect divorcee on the internet with bags of money, that would be perfect enough, no?
Apple will be bringing out an iwoman shortly, you'll be able to run all the familiar PC stuff on her but they'll be a lot less viruses...
Ha ha. Then I might reconsider my "purchase" of an Apple.
The forbidden fruit.
"perfect enough"
This exemplifies my point.
There is no perfect. There is only ever "perfect enough".
"Perfect" will always remain so.
"Perfect enough" has a BBD.
You could strive for a perfect marriage of two imperfects, surely, is that not the point?
You are being uncharacteristically optimistic!
It'll all work out fine with a bit of give and take.
The perfect sandwich sometimes has pastrami, sometimes it has bacon. Sometimes (although rarely) it is vegetarian.
Perfect or imperfect relationships all lead to a perfect storm at some point. Women and children first is the rule of thumb.
You mean like they said on the Titanic?
Isn't it: 'Women and children first - into the sea?'
Alas, often true, but hopefully we have our standards. Not on my watch.
